If you are an Australian resident aged between 18 and 69 we guarantee to accept you for this insurance, with no health questions asked, and no medical requirement.
Accident means an event resulting in bodily injury where the injury is directly and solely caused by violent, external and visible means without any other contributing causes and where the injury is not self inflicted. Accidental Death means death occurring as a direct result of an Accident and where death occurs within 90 days of the Accident.
Yes. You can add Children’s Insurance to your Guardian Accident Insurance policy. Children’s Insurance is designed to help cover extra costs that may be incurred for things like medical expenses and school tuition if your child suffers a wide range of serious injuries or illnesses. The benefit is also paid in the event of accidental death.
With Guardian Insurance, if you are an Australian resident aged 18 to 69 you can select a benefit amount of up to $1 million. The minimum benefit amount is $50,000, and you can select your chosen benefit in increments of $50,000, up to the maximum. You will be protected for the full benefit amount you choose from the very first day your cover takes effect (subject to the policy terms and conditions as set out in the PDS).
Absolutely. Once your application is accepted, you are covered 24/7, anywhere in the world.
The premiums do not increase just because you get older. Your premium is calculated at each policy anniversary and is based on the benefit amount provided for each life insured and the insurance plan chosen by you (joint plan or single plan)
If you cancel your Guardian Accident Insurance policy within 30 days of the commencement date – for any reason whatsoever – you’ll receive a full refund of premiums that have been paid. As Guardian Accident Insurance is not a savings plan, if you cancel your cover after 30 days, you will generally not get anything back. However, if you have paid annually in advance and cancel your policy after the 30 day cooling off period has expired any premium refund due will be paid into your nominated account.
